Setup and support for AgentBuggy on iPhone and Mac.

Availability

AgentBuggy is currently a development build. There is no public App Store download on this website yet. The current app supports iOS 17 or later and the companion supports macOS 14 or later. An awake Mac, a configured Codex account, and a private connection between your devices are required for AI work.

Get connected

  1. Get AgentBuggy for Mac and follow the setup steps.
  2. Open AgentBuggy on your Mac and keep it running.
  3. Connect both devices to your private Tailscale network.
  4. Scan the pairing QR shown by the Mac companion using your iPhone camera.
  5. For code fixes, choose Connect an app folder on the Mac, then enable that project's AI switch.
  6. Write a note on your iPhone and tap OK for AI when ready.

You can write and save notes without connecting. General requests can use Inbox. A code fix needs a selected, connected project.

Common questions

Why hasn't my note started?

Check that the Mac is awake, AgentBuggy is running, and Codex is connected. Check global, project, and subsection switches. Pending sync means your Mac has not accepted the latest change yet.

How do I archive an old project?

Open Projects and select Archive project. Notes remain saved and AI work pauses. Restore from Archived projects; AI stays off until you enable it.

How do I ask for another pass?

Choose Needs update, add context or screenshots, then tap OK for AI. Earlier notes and results remain available.

Does Completed publish my changes?

No. You still review and merge or deploy changes separately. AgentBuggy creates a review result, not an automatic release.

What does Open Codex task on Mac do?

It asks your connected Mac to open the actual conversation created for that note. Your Mac must be reachable and Codex installed.
